The recently renovated 4-star hotel with 116 rooms is located in a quiet, residential part of the capital and within walking distance of Artis Zoo and the Royal Tropical Institute. The city centre of Amsterdam with its famous nightlife, business- and shopping areas, museums and other sightseeing hotspots is less than a 10 minute taxi rides away.

The four-star Hotel Arena features 116 renovated, contemporary guest rooms that are built in this characteristic and monumental former Saint Elisabeth Orphanage, dating from 1890. History is evident in the unusual ceiling heights in many rooms and the authentic features that have been retained. Basically, no two rooms are the same. In the brand new rooms, the focus is on functionality to cater to guests staying for one night as well as those intending stay for a longer period of time, and to accommodate both corporate and leisure guests.

The interiors are decorated in shades of white that - together with subtle lighting - create an intimate atmosphere. The contrast of historical features and Dutch design is emphasised through the combination of white rooms and black bathrooms. The black glass walls of the bathroom cubicle and the shiny tiles are a remarkable match. These rooms are divided over 3 room types. All rooms have the same facilities. The difference between the room types are determined by their size. Rooms differ in square meters in living and sleeping areas as well as in the bathroom.
