There are several different ways to travel in Venice it basically depends on what you prefer. You do have the option to walk where you need to go. It may take some time to walk to all the attractions that you wanted to see. You may also elect to take a taxi to travel around Venice. If you are interested in car rentals you may find that this is the best way to go as it leaves you in control of going and coming at your own time. The airport provides several different ways to travel now and you can also choose to travel via boat, take a cruise, ride a ferry and travel via rail. There is a railroad station that will take you where you need to go but make sure you know where your stop is or you will be sitting around in a strange place until the next train gets back to your station. If you are not sure where to go, you can ask the hotel for more information about the public transport in the area. The hotel can be full of very useful information while you are there and they can make your trip to Venice very relaxing and affordable via giving you all the options.
