It would take a long trip to see everything that Amsterdam has to offer. The attractions here are different than any other place in the world. There are historical buildings and museums to see as well. Some places you may want to consider in your trip to Amsterdam include Oude Kerk, Dam Square, or Begijnhof. If you are wondering what Oude Kerk is you would be pleasantly surprised to see an old church displays a octagon shaped bell tower that sailors once used for guidance. It is located in Red Light District surrounded via houses all around. The Dam Square is the center of Amsterdam. It was around in 1808 and still stands today. Its history can be read in one of Amsterdam’s finest museums. Then you find Begijnhof that starts out as a narrow passageway that leads to a garden. The houses that surround the garden were once the homes of single women who lived their lives like nuns. Once of the houses surrounding the garden is recognised to be the oldest home in Amsterdam. There is also a medieval church in the garden as well. You can also view the many bridges and canals that are in Amsterdam.
